Bogna Konior is an Assistant Arts Professor of
Interactive Media Arts. She writes about how humans conceptualize the inhuman,
and investigates how this influences our imagination of the purpose of
technology and the arts in both the social and existential sense. In addition
to the impact of digital culture on the human species, she is also interested
in technopolitical formations that diverge from the dominant model of global
(technological) progress dictated by the post-Cold War consensus. Previously,
she was a Lecturer in New Media at the University of Amsterdam, a Fellow at The
International Research Institute for Cultural Techniques and Media Philosophy
at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, and a Visiting Researcher at the ICON Centre
for the Humanities, University of Utrecht.
